The Poised Society, Inc. helps youth develop the confidence, leadership, communication, wellness, relationships, and social skills needed for success in life, school, and future careers. Through engaging programs in financial literacy, conflict resolution, cultural enrichment, and career and college preparation, participants learn to move through life with poise, purpose, and lasting confidence. 

These are the timeless qualities that teach young people to carry themselves with confidence, move through the world with intention, and leave a lasting impression. I grew up surrounded by people who poured those lessons into me. Today, those spaces are fading away from our community. That is why I started this program: to bring them back. 

The Poised Society was established to strengthen our community by preparing the next generation of visionaries with foundational principles that will sustain them in every endeavor. These principles are not just about refinement but about character, resilience, and the confidence to own the room and conquer the world.  They are rooted in values once passed down more consistently, including respect for elders, social grace, the discipline of hard work, and the practical skills that prepared earlier generations to succeed. Together, these principles create a legacy of prepared youth who will carry these values forward into every sphere they touch.

This work does not come from a place of judgment, but from love, community, and lived experience.

We are here to pass down practices that endure. Practices that inspire self assurance, expand knowledge, and cultivate integrity. Our core program focuses on presence, financial literacy, resilience, engagement, and poise. We also emphasize opportunities, preparing each participant to be equipped for college, career, and every path they choose. Each individual is embraced by mentorship, sisterhood/brotherhood, and a supportive circle where they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

Our mission is to help youth discover who they are, master the skills that matter, and rise as contributors who give back to their communities. Through mentorship, workshops, activities, and authentic conversations, we prepare them to thrive in life, business, and beyond.

This generation deserves what shaped the best parts of us.
